At the Intermediate level, students need both to consolidate and activate the larger repertories they come in contact with, and to add precision to their use of language. There are 4 shows dealing with word formation from different angles, the use of prefixes and suffixes and the variations caused by functional changes. Easily confused words and common collocations are also important at this level. The focus is on expressions and uses that are frequent, part of the present day colloquial repertory. |
